Bodyguard: How Would You Survive?

Could you survive in the wilds of Africa?

Teenage martial arts expert Connor Reeves is tasked with protecting a foreign ambassador’s family on safari.

Considered the perfect assignment, the holiday turns to hell when their convoy is ambushed by gunmen. Fleeing through the bush, Connor and his assigned family become the prey in a shoot-to-kill hunt across the African plains.

As they fight for their survival, Connor realises the gunmen are the least of their problems. For no amount of bodyguard training can prepare him for the wilds of Africa and one prowling hungry leopard…

  1. I would gather everything that I could – debris from my boat, bits of wood and other bits of what I thought is general junk. Also gather all survivors – there is safety and comfort in numbers.Tell everyone to put all of their belongings from lighters to chewing gum in a pile with our things.Elect 2 or 3 people to search the island for food – since it is a deserted island no huge animals will be there. I would Tell everyone to stay calm and look at how bleak the situation. Elect 6 – 10 people to build a shelter big enough for all of us from the bits of wood, cord and metal we found. I would Tell anyone who is wet to take their clothes off and wrap up in whatever they have – leaves, towels, blankets or even tightly packed sheets of sand can provide warmth. You should never drink sea water. When my friends come back, inspect what they have. Light a fire with either your lighter or some flint, and then hollow out a coconut to use as a pan. I would fill the coconut with whatever I had. I would dig a hole to use as our loo. The next day carve SOS as largely as I could on the sand and make this my new job every day. Also get to work on making fishing lines from branches, seats and tables from branches and a more permanent home from whatever you can find as nobody knows how long we would be here for. Finally Invent a way to keep focused so we all don’t go mad.

  2. I would survive on a desert island by creating a shelter however you’ll need.to. sweep the floor for ants so you won’t have to live with ants .

ILL PUT SOS IN THE SAND!!!!!!!!!!

Ill search for food and make a fire so rescue helicopters can see me.as well as this, ill make a hammock because that’s the best place to sleep as you are of the ground and away from scorpions and snakes. P.S. a teepee shelter is one of the best because it’s easy to make.

  3. If I were trapped on a desert island, the first thing I would do is head towards a place where there was shade, as the worst place to be is around debris (especially if the only thing that survived the wreck was a blade of some sort). With the blade, I would use it to cut down some materials such as leaves and vines – if available – and make myself a canopy/hammock type shelter. Hopefully, I would have at least one other person to search for food and make up a call so that we could communicate. If that didn’t happen, I would keep my wits about and play dead if a larger animal tried to attack me.

  4. A desert island might have its own challenges but being close to the sea, having natural warmth and an abundant supply of food will all contribute to making your survival more likely than if you had found yourself washed up on an uninhabited polar coastline.
The first thing to remember, if you find yourself alone and in a survival situation, is that a positive and optimistic frame of mind can be the difference between life and death. There are many examples where people with no survival experience have managed to remain alive for extremely long periods before being rescued. Their adaptability, calmness and clear thinking have all been instrumental in helping them get through the ordeal. However, it was that positive mental attitude that meant they battled on where others would have succumbed to despair and given up the routines necessary to sustain life.
i know its not the best but youve got to live with it!!!!!!!!!!!1

Next i would find some food , i would look for different fruits and nuts, i would also make a trapped out of branches and long leaves i use as rope to catch some animals. I would find a stick and a sharp stone and turn that into a spear to catch fish. Then i would go in search for so fire wood and use the sun and some friction to get the fire starting, i would use the fire for heat to warm me up at night and to cook and fish and meat on. i would collect big branches and smaller twigs and leaves and make a hut to sleep in and the next say i would find lots of stones and spell out HELP on the sand so planes can see me and maybe rescue me. Id also find a friendly animal maybe a monkey and befriend it and it can be my friend while i live on the island and ill take it with me when i go.

  7. I would make a solar still, which is a device that uses the sun’s energy to capture water, through the use of a plastic wrap (or something like that), a rock and a hole. You can also get water from trees, or a river source on the island if one exists. Once water is available I would then make a fire in order to boil the water to ensure it is safe to drink and free of any bacteria. The fire will also create heat. In order to make fire, I would hopefully use my glasses to reflect the light from the sun’s rays onto wood and leaves in order to create a fire. If there was fruit on the island I would use it for food. I would check if it was poisonous first by opening it up and rubbing the inside of it on my arm. If no swelling or rashes occur within approximately 10 mins it should be safe to eat. After that my main priority would be to attempt to get rescued. A few ways I would attempt to be noticed are through a signal fire, head for higher ground as there is a better chance of being noticed and move rocks to spell out words or create a triangle shape. This would be useful as a triangle is the universal sign for distress. Copper could also be used if possible as it turns the fire green, which someone is bound to notice.

  8. My first plan of action would be to make shelter I would do this by strapping trees and branches together with vine. I would then proceed to catching some food, I would probably go for fish as they are easy to catch and kill. Then I would cook the fish and eat it. The fire would create smoke that I could use to make signal to passing by ships. This would be my life until I was found.

  9. I would firstly rub two sticks together to make a fire, which gives me warmth at night. I will then go into the water slowly and quietly to try and find any lone fish close to the island, so I have food. When I am thirsty, I will get some water and make a container for the water and then cook it over the fire so the germs in the water die. Whenever I think I have enough food and water, I will neither make a big fire to alert any aircraft above me to save me, or make a boat using the wood from any trees on the island. I will use the boat to get to safety.

  10. I would find a spot on high ground to make a shelter, using any materials from my wrecked boat and bits of trees and shrubs. The shelter would have a strong roof to protect from the sunshine and a nice, soft bed raised from the ground so it would not be overrun by ants. I would make a spear to use for fishing and I would go fishing every day to catch food to eat. I would also collect berries (which I recognised, so as not to get poisoned) and other edible plants to eat. I would make a fire by rubbing sticks together. The fire would keep me warm, be used for cooking, provide light in the dark, scare off any wild animals and show my position to any people who were looking for me. I would collect sea water and boil it and drink the water from the condensation. For drinking, I would also collect any rain water, look for natural springs and drink coconut water and juice from fruits. I would hope someone was looking for me, so I would make a big sign saying help out of stones on the beach. I would try to make some sort of radio transmitter if I had any materials which might help. If no one came, I would try to befriend local wildlife to keep me company and help me hunt for food.

  11. If I was trapped on a desert island I would:
First off find a source of water like a stream as you can not drink sea water then I would make a temporary shelter for the night until I can find more resources this shelter would probably just be a bunch of palm leaves and wood but it will suffice for the night.then I would start looking for food nothing big just yet like fish but smaller things like fruit and berries I would keep these in my shelter so I know I have some food away from any animals that may inhabit the island (this shelter will be just within the trees but close to the beach). Next I would gather anything I could to start a fire bits of wood, a stone or flint to get it going, then before nightfall I will start to gather stones so by morning I could spell out SOS on the sandy beach as big as I could. In the morning I would start planning as who knows how long I will be there!
I will dig a hole in the sand a good bit away from my camp to go to the toilet and I will try to build a more permanent shelter, sharping sticks and finding sharp stones to start killing fish or animals that may be on the island to eat and use the animal skin as blankets or sachels for when Im gathering food.I would also keep some animals to breed and tend to so I don’t go mad from loneliness. Maybe then after I have my basic needs I will start venturing further to find a cave to live in, all the while I will be planning my escape as obiviously after months on the island my SOS is not working. I would start to gather logs and other materials to make a raft as for months now I have been watching a big cargo ship come by never seeing me. I know the time it comes at every fortnight so If I can just make it out to the boat I will be safe.

  12. Well first I would make sure I had my two best friends with me because I couldn’t cope without them. I would be the one to sunbathe and make clothes and cook so like the mother type thing. My friend Sarah would tell the clever one which one tell us what we can or can’t eat and helping to make a boat and Leah would kill animals to eat and chop trees down and stuff. We are pretty much sorted except boys……

I would have the sand and single palm tree to keep me company.
I would wave in the air if a helicopter was hovering above.
I would shout at the top of my lungs for help.

I would build a raft out of sticks, bits of abandoned wood and the super glue I happened to have found under a rock and sail away! lol

  15. If I was trapped on a dessert island, the first thing I would do is to search for survivors. If there is survivors, i would split them into groups to look for different items. However, if I was alone, I would find food and look for fruit trees. Next I would build a big fire to send smoke signals. I would find a source of water and boil over the fire to cleanse it. Afterwards, I would search for shelter. I would use leaves and twigs and other materials to build a shelter, and, finally I would wait for a helicopter or boat that would spot the fire and rescue me from the island.

  16. If the first thing I would do if trapped on a desert island is check for any injuries and sort them and I would try my best to avoid injuries. If it was a plane or boat crash, I would salvage any items that could help. I would try and create tools as they would aid my survival. Then the next thing I would do is find a source of drinking water, as I couldn’t survive more than 3/4 days, I would focus on that instead of food. I would use containers if there was a wreckage and I would use large leaves as funnels. I would search the island as the further in a go the better my chance. If there was no rainfall or freshwater I would make a solar water still. Then I would build a shelter from the wreckage. I would then try and find food. I would find things like mollusks, oysters, clams, mussels, seaweed and fish. I would cook the food if I could to kill parasites and poisons denatured. I would check if it was poisonous and watch out for fish with poisonous fish and sea snakes. I could check if it was poisonous by rubbing on hand, then upper lip if there is no reaction. I would always try and be focused and positive to improve my chance of being rescued.

  17. This is a commonly asked question at home; I would first make a weapon. With no knowledge of what the Island holds need to be able to protect myself. Finding food isn’t an issue as I would want to get off as soon as possible. Using whatever I could get my hands on (from belt buckles to shoe laces) I would build myself a raft and be off! My mother is a geography teacher so I have grown up around maps. I could easily navigate the high seas and find land.

I would gather lots of large rocks and make an S.O.S sign in the sand and put smaller rocks in my pocket to use with the slingshot. Then I would gather lots of palm leaves and create a hammock and a shelter, also using vines, cut with a knife made of hard wood or a sharp stone. I would then make small bowl type devices and hang them on trees, so if it rained I could catch some water. I’d then get some sticks and vines/ rope to make a fishing rod, and create a fire using dry wood and flint to cook fish on, as well as evaporate sea water then turn it back to water so it is safe to drink. On some nights I would hunt for scorpions and other bugs to eat, not to mention rats, birds and monkeys. Finally I would gather lots of ropes, vines and wood to create a raft to hopefully sail to freedom if I’m not spotted by helicopters!

  19. first i would find a place that i could shelter, but its not that easy as i have no saw to cut wood only a hand knife, as i have no tools to build with only my shaking hands, no food nor water to keep me from dehydration in the beaming sun. i sit there helpless with a shaken thought in my head then out of the corner of my eye i see a boat but a wrecked one,”someone must be here to?” i think of the good things a hope of being alive again not in the sand covered by bugs in a few days even hours maybe! i get up and with my hand knife i cut away the seaweed that hangs like tinsel on a christmas tree, i then begin to mend some holes in the boat and for my surprise when i go down to the home bit theres a kitchen with drinks and food i sigh with relief, i get back some energy and get back to work. when the boat is ready i begin to work on the engine, i pull a bobbin pin out my hair and hold it to the wire, it catches and the engine starts. i got up and went to look for this persons boat there probably lost and scared to, i pack some drinks and food into a backpack and set of, in the woods its quiet but not in a good way no birds would sing nor fly around in the sky, i shadow casts over me and gun is holded to my head i freeze in shock, i look up to see a man he takes away the gun and holds me tight, a sound in the distance of gun shots the girl grabs his hand and runs to the boat when they return theres a leopard in the boat they freeze in shock she goes to touch it but the man pulls here back he shoot the leopard and the girl shakes the man whispers i have to do what i have to do to keep us safe.

  20. If I were trapped on a desert island, I would have to face a lot of my fears! Firstly, I would find suitable and sustainable shelter that would last for a good while. Then I would gather up lots of sticks and twigs to make a fire. I’d use a rock and wood to make a spear to catch fish and look for more food sources. Somehow I would have to purify the sea water or catch rain water so it is safe to drink, or make a little hole in the tree trunk and see if any water comes out. I would try to defend myself from any wild animals and be brave!

  21. hmm, a desert island, well it would be tricky to even stay there for a minute as there maybe spiders and other creepy crawlys. I probably would find a safe area to sleep and then i would look for food like bananas or other fruits, whatever i can find. finally i would search for water as you cat survive more than 3 day without it and then got to bed. i would follow this routine til i get rescued.

  22. As I’m vegetarian, I would try to find plants to eat on the island (plenty of coconuts!), and make a raft to try and sail away! Although the first thing I’d do is try to find a river or water fall as I know that water is the most important thing to find.

  24. Hmmm well, on my first day I would go hunting first thing mostly i would
try and manage bare hand but if it was too difficult then i would have to try and find a stick or sharp stone or even combine the two to make a dagger or knife… I would start with smaller animals then i would go collecting materials to create a safe and waterproof shelter to keep me safe for my time on the island. To keep predators and creatures to strong for me away I would set lethal traps like catapults with sticks sharpened to make spikes to fire out to keep them away. Also I would make a guard or fence made also of tall sharpened sticks. Another thing I would make out of sharpened sticks would be weapons to give me more of an advantage in hunting. I would also go collect some wood and other materials like leaves and vines to make a bucket for water. Which I would have to go on a journey (most likely) to find a water source like a river or stream or even a lake. When I have finished collecting water I would go and collect wood ( a lot of it! ) for some fire to keep me warm. I would also gather some leaves and soft plants or natural materials on the island to make some a little more comfortable to sleep on, although I must say it may not make a lot of a difference but it could be something. I would also think about personal health and would make bandages out of washed leaves and plants that could cure injuries and illnesses.

  25. If I was trapped I would finish my moaning and first explore the area to see which resources are available and how I can use them to survive. I expect there would be some trees and so I will use the branches from those to form a shelter of some kind so I can survive the nights to protect myself against predators. I will then go in search of a source of food and store them inside my shelter for emergency days. My last and final step would be to compose a weapon of some kind so I can stay safe while I am saved. I can do this by attaching jagged rocks to each other which would be extremely sharp and dangerous. I think it is possible to survive! 🙂

First off, i’d get used to my surroundings. check my back pack for any supplies; knife, bottle string/rope and a plastic bag.

Knife- used to carve weapons to hunt for food also cut branches to start fire.

    bottle- stores water to drink

string/ rope- tie logs and branches for shelter

Plastic bag- hang it on a branch of a tree and tie the top with string it will collect condensation enough to drink,

Also i would try to start a fire to cook meat
Gather rocks and make a SOS on an open space

    Thank You

  30. My survival tips on a desert island are;
    1) Find food!!
    2) Find fresh water
    3) Make a shelter (not a roof but a bed)
    4) Find/make a weapon.
    And that’s about it.

    3.scavange for berries,edable mushrooms etc….
    4. hunt for deer,hares etc…
    5.make a fire
    6. make a signal fire so if i see a boat or plane it can be lit straight away

I would look for food on trees like fruit and leaves. I would also, if there were any, hunt animals to eat on fire I made.
